Burning Man is an annual arts festival held in the northwest deserts of Nevada. On the last Saturday of the event, the central figure and namesake of the event is burned in a bonfire large enough to alter the local weather patterns for days.

Before they light up "the Man" a large performance is held featuring all forms of fire arts. The finale to this performance is ritually provided by the Fire Conclave. The conclave is comprised of some 500 fire performance artists from around the world.

These artists present a huge variety of styles, performance types, and temperments. One woman runs it all: Crimson Rose. After 15 years of herding these flaming cats, the Conclave duties started to become overwhelming. So, she went out to the 4 largest cities providing fire performers to the Conclave and wrangled 4 suckers captains to help her organize the group. The LA Conclave was born.

From 2001-8, The LA Fire Conclave served to help gather the Los Angeles area fire performers for Burning Man, organize their performance and provide never before seen acts to the public. We built two dragons made of fire artists, we've passed a single fire breath through 7 people, and we strove to expand and refine the art of fire performance.

Crimson has shut down LAFC. We will no longer be operating as a group at Burning Man. Since our activities were limited to that venue, we are no longer accepting performers, new or old.It was a wonderful 8 years, we hope you had a chance to see some of the spectacular shows we put together for the Burn.

If you're looking for a performance group, might we suggest that you take a look at Red Swan Entertainment. They're a Los Angeles based talent management company, striving to get performers like yourself into gigs where you will be both appreciated and paid well.

Burn Club, our practice and rehearsal space for 6 years is still open and should remain so for some time.
